How ActiveCase Works |

ActiveCase
can process
all types of data including Names, Addresses, City/State/Zip, Sentences and
Titles, each with its own unique capitalization rules. The capitalization
is controlled through the use of 8 user-definable styles. The use of style tables allows
the application of different capitalization rules to the same word depending on its
context.
ActiveCase does more
than just proper case conversions. Use it to
punctuate, abbreviate and even expand existing abbreviations. Instantly correct
typos with the built-in list of common misspellings.
|
|
ActiveCase starts by applying the default capitalization rules for
the selected style. Next, the selected style table is searched for every
character, word and phrase in the input string. When a match is found, the
corresponding character, word or phrase from the style table replaces the
original data in the input string.
To use ActiveCase, set the Text_Style to the
data type of the input string then set the Text_In property to the text to
be adjusted. After calling the Convert method, ActiveCase returns the
converted string in the Text_Out property.
